Copper and Sterling Silver Oak Spiral Earrings
I went back to my roots and played with some copper and ended up with these! I do love an oak leaf! Hung on sterling silver hand made ear wires, I cut these oak leaves from sheet copper, hammering the edges and shaping as I polish them. They have been oxidised to bring out the detail.
They're a nice length drop and not heavy in the ear, but a good solid metal ( nothing flimsy here y'know 😉)
Drop is approx. 6cm
Width (at widest) approx 1.3cm
Ear wires and jump ring: sterling silver
I do not seal my copper with any chemicals. All iceni copper will develop its own natural patina over time. Run a jewellery cloth over them from time to time to retain sheen. As with all jewellery make sure to avoid spraying with perfumes/body oils/creams.
